On July 27, 2023 I had surgery to remove a tumor that was on my left falopian tube/ovary, it was determined to be HGS Ovarian Cancer. That day I had a full hysterectomy. I choose to not do the chemotherapy. I treated with many natural modalities and practitioners. On July 9th, I had a cT scan that revealed many masses in the peritoneal cavity. I was told by the nurse that ovarian cancer will often return as peritoneal Carcinomatosis. Their options were chemo or hospice, but I believe there are always more options and in a god that heals. so, I am not having it biopsied, for many reasons. I also am not asking what “stage”, “life expectancy”, or “google” it! I just can’t. After my original diagnosis you go down all of these rabbit holes and it just created anxiety and me focusing on all of the wrong things. The numbers they use are extremely inaccurate and they do not take into consideration age, health, etc. Also, the research is usually funded by Big pharma so is usually swayed to their benefit. From what I have learned, cancer is about 5% genetic and chemo has about a 2% increased survival rate past 5 years. With those numbers I choose to live my life by quality, not quantity! So…I will press on, running this race that Christ has called me to, I will not fear and keep my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of my faith.
